Appliances are based on the OpenBSD operating system, the most stable,
secure and reliable operating system. The .vantronix | team is
OpenBSD-minded and actively contributing to its development.

To strengthen our team in Aachen (Germany) in the fields of development
we are looking for a
Software developer (m/f)
for long-term cooperation.
Your tasks:
- Unix system programming, as well in userland as in kernel (OpenBSD)
- Development and integration of system-oriented applications
- Fault analysis und bug fixing in the complex environment of applications and kernel
- Generation of development specifications
- Maintenance and administration of system components
- Support of the customer service team
Your profile:
- Studies of electrical engineering/computer science/physics/mathematics or comparable qualification
- Very good knowledge of the Unix operating system architecture and Unix concepts
- Very good programming skills in C
- Very good knowledge of TCP/IP networks and the operating principles of routers and firewalls
- Good knowledge of shell programming and script languages such as Perl
- Good knowledge of the Unix tool chain
- Besides the ability to work in a team we also expect enthusiasm to work independently
- Good knowledge of written and spoken German and English is preferable but not necessary
